here one can observe the authentic and
mystical fire dancing rite – a pagan ritual
passed from generation to generation since
hoary antiquity. The ritual is performed
every year, on the day of St. St.
Constantine and Elena – 3 June (old style).
In this part of Bulgaria one can find the
Strandzha periwinkle - evergreen endemic
bush included in the Bulgarian Red Book of
Floral Species under Protection.
Surrounded by deep valleys, the village
offers a magnificent view to the folded
rounded ridges of Strandja.
East of the village of Bulgari is the oldest
Bulgarian reserve `Silkosia` and 7 km
northeast lies the protected area `River
Marina` in the past part of the `Silkosia.`
Surroundings are occupied by ancient forests
and undergrowth of holly.
This village offers the spirit of the
country life, history, beautiful nature and
closeness to the amazing Bulgarian Black
sea.
